Community Service Committee
The primary focus of the Community Service Committee is education, literacy and disease prevention in the city of Chicago.

Community Service Committee Upcoming Projects Funded for 2024
At their April meeting, the Community Service Committee voted to fund several projects:
- The Annual Kayak Chicago River Clean Up will be on June 9 at 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A registration link will be forthcoming.
- Jesse White Trunk Party will be held the weekend of July 13.
- Blues Kid of the Year for the Fernando Jones Blues Camp, held in June.
- Spectrum Sailing provides free sailing camps for 20 kids on the Autism spectrum ages 10-17.
- Still Point Theater Collective will provide senior citizens living at the Park Plaza Retirement Home with theater classes, culminating in a performance.
Rotarians will be able to volunteer for and attend events associated with each of these projects. More information will be shared at meetings and in upcoming editions of the Gyrator.
