Corporation Membership

Qualifications – Any Corporation within the Chicago metropolitan area may apply for membership in the Rotary Club of Chicago for two specific individuals of the Corporation by completing the membership application for each individual. The individuals shall have demonstrated an ongoing and continuous commitment to the Corporation and Chicagoland area and be leaders or future leaders of the corporation. The two individuals must be approved by the Rotary Club of Chicago’s Board of Directors.

Application Fee – A one-time non-refundable fee of $300 ($150 per member) must be paid upon acceptance.

Membership Dues – $,5000 per year for two individuals to be paid annually or monthly with a chargeable account on file with the Club. This membership includes one complimentary meeting attendance per week for either individual at regular meetings (Tuesday meetings excluding special events, i.e. Woman of the Year, JOB1 Luncheon, President’s Installation). For each additional individual, the dues increase by $1,200 per year.

Discount – Corporations that commit to hosting a Tuesday evening meeting at least once per calendar year receive a $300 discount. Hosting requires that the Corporation provide a meeting space, dinner (buffet or sit-down), and beverages including libations. A representative of the Corporation, preferably a Rotary One Club member, will introduce the meeting speaker and have the opportunity to briefly describe the Corporation to attendees. The discount does not include being a featured speaker, featured speakers are selected by the programming committee.

Sponsorship Requirement – The Corporation shall be required to sponsor at least one Club event per year at a cost of at least $500 per sponsorship. This cost is in addition to other membership dues described above. Sponsorships may include being a corporate sponsor of the Woman of the Year annual luncheon or paying all costs associated with a specific volunteer opportunity such as the Chicago River Clean Up, which includes the cost of kayak rentals and lunch for members who collect trash from the river.

Promotions – The Corporation shall be featured in at least one monthly newsletter “spotlight” per year which will also be featured on the Club’s social media and emails. The Corporation will also receive a quarterly advertisement in the monthly newsletter featuring the Corporation’s logo and identifying the Corporation’s individual members. The Club will include the Corporation in a NFP/NP/Corporate Sponsorship section in the monthly newsletter.

 

Not-For-Profit or Non-Profit Membership

Qualifications – A NFP or NP may apply for membership in the Rotary Club of Chicago for a specific employee, leader, or member of the organization by completing the membership application for the specific individual. The individual may include board members or volunteers who have demonstrated a ongoing and continuous commitment to the NFP/NP. The individual must be approved by the Rotary Club of Chicago’s Board of Directors.

Application Fee – A one-time non-refundable fee of $150 per individual must be paid upon acceptance.

Club Service Opportunity – The Rotary Club of Chicago organizes monthly service projects for members. The Rotary Club’s Community Service Committee shall select at least one NFP/NPs event as a service project. The Rotary Club of Chicago does not guarantee the participation of its membership but will promote the event and encourage membership participation.

Promotions – The NFP/NP shall be featured in at least one newsletter spotlight per year which will also be featured on the Club’s social media and emails. The Club will include the NFP/NP in a NFP/NP/Corporate Sponsorship section in the monthly newsletter.
