Wynante Charles, President

Wynante is originally from the Commonwealth of Dominica, where she was a member of the Rotaract Club of Roseau. After obtaining her associate degree, she moved to Chicago where she is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Health Science at DePaul University. She currently works as a Peer Health Educator in the university’s office of Health Promotion and Wellness where she organizes and facilitates health and wellness programming and workshops on campus. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, trying new hobbies, and exploring new places in the Chicagoland area.

Wynante joined Rotaract because she is passionate about helping others, giving back to and creating change in her community. She has previously held the positions of PR Director, and Vice President.

Sophia Bischof, Vice President

Sophia is a German native, who has lived in 6 countries and has been calling Chicago home for the past four years. She currently works in Marketing for the world’s largest chocolate & cocoa manufacturer, Barry Callebaut. She is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA and The University of Manchester, UK.

As a Rotaractor, Sophia enjoys being around like-minded young professionals, who have a keen interest in service and are motivated to make an impact on the local community. In her free time, she likes to be active and can often be found hiking in beautiful landscapes around the world.

Nick Latimer, Secretary

Nick is from Topeka, Kansas and currently holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently he is employed as a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte and enjoys: exercise, traveling, Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, piano, and golf in his spare time. In addition to being the Secretary Nick is also the club’s Professional Development director and was previously the JOB1 Program Liaison. He joined Rotaract because he wanted to meet interesting people with unique backgrounds and also give back to the Chicago community.

Chris Perrins​, Treasurer

Chris currently works on the legal team of Legal & General Investment Management America, Inc., one of the three asset managers in the city of Chicago.

Karly Carson​, Service Director

Rotaract has been an integral part of Karly’s life for the past 7 years. She was a part of Interact her last two years of high school and joined University of Michigan’s Rotaract Club not long after she stepped foot on campus and participated throughout undergrad. Now she is happy to be serving on the board for Rotaract Club of Chicago as the Service Chair.

Karly works in Communications for Barry Callebaut, one of the world’s largest chocolate manufacturing companies, and takes part in various service and social justice oriented employee resource groups within the company.

Lauren Pugliese, Immediate Past President

Lauren lives in Chicago and works for The Rotary Foundation as part of the Donor Relations team. She is a graduate of The College of Wooster where she majored in Sociology and minored in Urban Studies and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Chicago’s restaurant scene, volunteering with iMentor, and running along the lakefront.

Since joining the Rotaract Club in 2018, Lauren has enjoyed meeting community leaders and doing hands-on work in neighborhoods across the city. As the 2020-21 president, Lauren is dedicated to helping current members get the most value out of their Rotaract membership.
